Efektivní údržba s rozšířenou realitou

More efficient maintenance with mixed reality is one of the area where mixed reality applications have been successfully deployed for several years is in the area of maintenance. This area can be divided into several sub-groups.

Guides to TPM and preventive maintenance

A suitable area for the application of augmented reality in maintenance is the digitisation of TPM and preventive maintenance manuals. Step by step, a line operator is guided through the TPM steps, or a mechatronics technician through the preventive maintenance procedure for a given piece of equipment. The standard procedure, prepared by the most experienced people in the company, is clearly and clearly interpreted using augmented reality. Each step is explained textually, visually and spatially. Correct setup values, BOMs, access to additional information and interactive checklists are available. The operator and mechatronics technician follow the procedure, do not make mistakes or skip steps, and document and upload the checklist and additional information to the database at the end. No further steps are required. The line is released for production. Another area of augmented reality application in maintenance is troubleshooting and remote assistance.

Troubleshooting and remote assistance

The moment a malfunction occurs, a quick response from experienced personnel is required. Augmented reality here provides both interactive repair instructions and access to company files with documentation for review. When a mechatronics technician is unsure of the next course of action, he or she can, using the MR/AR device, contact a more experienced colleague or the machine manufacturer’s specialist directly. The remote assistant then guides the mechatronics technician both verbally and visually. Via a display device, he draws instructions directly into the machine area. The entire repair process is thus significantly shortened thanks to the rapid collaboration. In addition, the progress of the repair can be recorded for future reference. Once the repair is completed, the progress and duration is documented and the line is released for production.
